Note: Village Health Partners now offers nasal swab tests as well. Learn more about those tests here.

One of the many perks of being a Village Pediatrics patient is having access to superior healthcare resources. Since Village Pediatrics is part of the Village Health Partners family, your child can get tested for COVID-19 antibodies at the Village Health Partners drive-through testing sites.

The testing process is quick and easy, and all your child will need to do is provide a blood sample from the comfort of your car. The test Village Health Partners uses is the venipuncture test, which has greater than 97% sensitivity and specificity, making it almost 100% accurate.  You’ll receive the results of their test within two to three days via the Patient Portal

Curious about the cost? Village Health Partners does not bill for the test itself. The lab that processes the test will process the payment. If you have insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will vary depending on your insurance plan. To get your exact out-of-pocket cost, call your insurance company and ask them about the following CPT code: 86769. If you do not have insurance, your cost is estimated to be between $40 and $50.

To schedule your child’s antibody test, click here to set up a telehealth appointment with one of our providers. They will give you all the information you need and can provide the lab order necessary to receive the antibody test.

Village Pediatrics recommends that all patients get tested for antibodies because it can help our communities understand the prevalence of COVID-19. We are constantly learning about this virus, and this testing can help us understand how those with antibodies may or may not be protected over time.

Learn more about antibodies, test options, what results mean, and more from Dr. Samiksha Shah of Village Health Partners in the video below:

Regardless of antibody test results, Village Pediatrics recommends that you continue to take safety measures for your family to prevent the spread of COVID-19, like washing your hands, wearing a face mask in public, and practicing physical distancing.
