Village Pediatrics Policies

Sick Appointments

Sick children should be seen on the same day. Our schedule is structured to accommodate same-day appointments.

Well Child Appointments

We recommend scheduling well visit appointments in advance. A well child examination focuses on growth and development. Please allow adequate time in your schedule for this appointment.

Walk-Ins

Office visits are by appointment only. Patients who appear in the office without an appointment requesting to be seen will be given the next open appointment time with their pediatrician, if the schedule permits.

After Hours

If you have a routine question, please call during office hours. Medication refill requests should be made only during regular office hours by logging onto the patient portal. If you need medication dosages after hours, please call your local 24-hour pharmacy. We have a doctor on-call for emergency calls only. If a life threatening situation arises, call 911.

Weekend Hours

Saturday visits are by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled beginning at 8am.

Medical Record/Immunization Records

Our office has 15 business days to release your child’s medical records. Please give our office 48-72 hours for immunization records. It is also helpful if you provide us with the name, address, phone number, and fax number of the person who needs this information. We must have a signed release for these records due to HIPPA guidelines.

School & Camp Forms

Please give us 5-7 business days for school and camp forms. Please be advised that the doctor completes these forms only if your child has had a physical in the past year.

Medication Refills

Please allow our office 48 hours for medication refills. To expedite the refill request, contact your pharmacy first. It may be necessary to schedule an appointment before a refill on medication will be approved. Medication refills will only be filled during our normal business hours. The on-call physician will not fill non-urgent refills after hours.

After Hours Availability

If your child has an urgent need after our regular business hours that cannot wait until the next business day, your call will be answered by a registered pediatric nurse via our triage service. As always, a Village Pediatrics physician will be available for consultations. Please be aware that you may be assessed a small fee for after hours service.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our office.
