Kaitlyn Layman is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner located at our Plano, TX location who works directly with Dr. Malini Hebbur. Kaitlyn sees newborns through 18 years of age. With Kaitlyn's extensive experience working in the NICU, she is well versed in helping mothers with feeding challenges and support where needed. She has also completed her certification as a Lactation Consultant, and is also trained in medical ear piercing.

Kaitlyn Layman cares for children in all stages of childhood and brings over 9 years of nursing experience to Village Pediatrics in Plano, TX. Kaitlyn is sincere in her approach to pediatric medicine and naturally empathizes with other parents as she and her husband Brian are raising a son of their own.
Kaitlyn’s extensive background in pediatric medicine began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration from Liberty University. She is currently an active member of Sigma Theta Tau (an international honors society of nursing) and held the honor of repeatedly being nominated for the DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses while in the role of a bedside nurse in the hospital setting.
Kaitlyn’s experience in a hospital background caring for NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) patients has also helped her develop a passion for assisting families through lactation and breastfeeding support. She also holds advanced specialty certifications for Neonatal Intensive Care and Extremely Low Birthweight. Kaitlyn’s doctorate degree was heavily based in research and evidence-based medicine, which has prepared her to care for your child with the most practical and effective approaches because she understands that what works for some, does not work for all.

Kaitlyn and her husband enjoy practicing a healthy lifestyle by engaging in CrossFit, getting outside, and hiking. Together, they also prioritize eating nutrient-dense meals while ensuring they are a role model to their son by implementing healthy lifestyle choices. Family time and sports entertainment are another way they enjoy bonding with each other as well!
While balancing family and her passion for pediatric medicine, Kaitlyn makes time to be involved in her local community by serving in the worship choir at Preston Trail Community Church.
